BACKGROUND
Content Analyzer is a powerful application designed to streamline the data viewing process for our stakeholders. By consolidating information from various sources into one accessible platform, it significantly reduces the time required for users to search and gather insights on applications, devices, and overall data center inventory.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Users often rely on various data sources and communication channels, such as fellow managers and application owners, to gather the necessary information about devices in our data center.

DISCOVER: USER-CENTERED DESIGN
I engaged in a series of iterative interviews, extracting insights to illuminate user requirements. Through these interactions, a clear and immediate need emerged: users yearned for a dedicated platform facilitating seamless access and streamlined downloading of all applications and devices residing within our expansive Data Centers.
Yet, our gaze extended beyond the horizon of immediate needs, embracing the vista of long-term aspirations articulated by our discerning clients. Among their ambitions, a recurring theme emerged—a desire for enhanced flexibility and customization. Specifically, they envisioned the capability to selectively exclude specific data columns from the extensive dataset, affording them greater control and precision in their interactions with the platform.
These insights, gleaned from the voices of our stakeholders, serve as the guiding stars illuminating our path forward, empowering us to craft a solution that not only meets present demands but also anticipates and accommodates future aspirations.
DESIGN
In this design phase, our deliberations extended beyond mere platform selection. We delved into the existing UI landscape, meticulously weighing our options. After rigorous evaluation, the team arrived at the strategic decision to harness the power of REACT coupled with the robustness of the Cisco UI kit, aligning seamlessly with our project objectives and technical requirements.
To ensure alignment and foster a collaborative environment, I spearheaded the creation of low to high fidelity drawings, wireframes, and prototypes. These artifacts served as focal points for team review and spirited discussions, allowing us to iteratively refine our vision before cementing our final choice. This agile approach, characterized by swift yet deliberate iterations every two weeks, empowered us to adapt and pivot as necessary, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

TEST & ITERATE (T&I)

During the testing and iteration phase, I fostered a collaborative environment involving our front and back-end developers to seamlessly deploy the initial iteration of the UI design into the development environment, facilitating stakeholder testing of the new platform.

I strategically engaged selected participants to meticulously document their interactions with the tool, articulating their preferences, criticisms, comments, and concerns. This proactive approach ensured comprehensive feedback collection.

I then initiated a structured process of "continuous improvement," cycling through design iterations to testing and implementation phases. This iterative approach allowed us to continuously refine and augment the platform, ensuring it aligns with stakeholder needs and industry standards.
RESULTS
The successful integration of Content Analyzer has delivered substantial advantages, most notably a remarkable 12-hour reduction in discovery time. This efficiency enhancement directly translates into heightened operational efficiency and elevated productivity throughout our organization.
Furthermore, Content Analyzer stands as an all-encompassing "One-Stop shop" solution, offering stakeholders convenient access to exhaustive device inventories across all Data centers worldwide. This centralized platform augments visibility and expedites informed decision-making, fostering optimized resource allocation and bolstering performance across our global operations.
